Generic.

This is generic in every way. Drums that slowly fade in, that are also in this generic pattern of;

K---S-----K-S---

Generic synths that are sidechained to the drums. Sorry, does not deserve top 5 whatsoever.

I got 4 words for this: You Are An Idiot

Do you ever look at an author comment HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Herpaderp.

DAT THINK BREAK.

It's actually "YEAH, chika chika snare, WOO!"

As for the song pretty good. Pretty nice glitching here and there (Looking at :52).

Though, I can tell you used dblue! Try to use a good combination of Dblue and manual glitching. I think you may find that you'll like it much better.

SessileNomad responds:

i did use a ton of manual glitching, plus i used a new glitch effects program

but yeah dblue is in there

lol yeah i forget which voice comes in first

peace brah

Woah

Woah. Someone who actually uses dblue with automation rather than letting it sit there in the default settings, which sounds like crap.

SessileNomad responds:

ll i fucking know, i hate when people just leave it sitting there, i have like 6-8 dblues being automated at different times, and thats just for the drums

glad you understand, peace out man

Ha.

Just a random comment, I know what synth is making that hoover =P. Pretty good stuff man, and I absolutely despise this genre, so big ups.

SessileNomad responds:

umm what are you talking about xD, i didnt use any hoovers in here, mabye you talking about my screeches, in which case, which synth do you think i used to make them, cuz i bet your wrong xD

horray i luv big ups

Honestly.

This deserved a better place than it did. You used the break much better than most, and it wasn't the same old amen. There was something different about it whether it be the compression, and you also used excellent synth patches and miscellaneous samples. Vocals were very well done. My one complaint was that towards the end it did tend to get a little loud and it may have possibly clipped in there. 10/10 5/5

Darren-M responds:

woah, thanks for the review, yeah i sliced this alot to make it interesting, and i was careful to use compression to make things stick out. thanks

Wow.

Where to begin. What you've done here is immensely impressive. This song is a perfect example of the large amount of creative ideas you can pump out with a very small and limited set of sounds. The pads are absolutely breathtaking, and to think they're made from printer samples.

Also, you're welcome =P

SineRider responds:

Thanks paddy for the nice little breakbeat I chopped the hell out of :)

Finally.

Another artist who knows how to program like a real man. The intro filter retriggers were great man. Overall, a great song. Though I have to say the amens had a little too much on the low end, and not enough mid and high. 9/10 4/5

SessileNomad responds:

yeah they probly are a bit strong on the lows, i cant quite remember how i eq'd everything but it happens

so im a real man now huh?

Fuck

You beat me to it man. I'm still working on mine. Great job on this one. You really know how to patch your chip synths. You need more amens. May I suggest one called the "Pendulamen" Great compressed amen. Nice beatbox section as well.

For me it's gonna be 9/10 5/5. You did a good job on the melody with this one man. Something I've never been strong with.

Psst:....wanna...finish that collab some time? Or are things too hectic right now?

nubbinownz responds:

haha i've got so much crap on my plate lately man, I barely had time to put this thing out. I'm supposed to be doing something with a good friend of mine regarding licensing, but i've been flaking on him as well :(

Ok, so...

At the beginning I thought I was going to hate this a lot because of the use of the 808/606 kit (the snares sound quite similar. too lazy to scour through my samples to find the difference) since most shitty artists for some reason like the sound of the 808 and 606, but I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I really like the sitar-ish lead you used in there. It would be a little better if there was more variation in both drums and melody, but overall a nice smooth track. Not getting a very Jazz vibe as much as Ambient. It's very reminiscent of The Flashbulb's more recent work. 9/10, 4/5

SonicJ responds:

Thank you for listening past the drums. Although im not sure if I used that kit.
Im glad you liked it. Thank you for taking the time to listen and review it. That means something to me :)

Why is it

that everyone uses the same kicks in their gabber songs? Not that it's bad. This is really quite good, but that kick sample is so overused. Everything else rocks.

Hotplurplegnome responds:

im really dont use that one all the time!
i tend to make my own kicks but your right this is a sample and alot of people use it
but good that you liked it

My name is Jacob. I like anime/manga/comics. I'm 18. I make breakcore/IDM music (check it out). I play lots of rhythm games (DDR, ITG, PIU, BM, SM etc.) I play piano, and have been for about 4 years now.
